Chicken Pitta Bread

Ingredients

4 tbsp of Hoi-Sin Sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp honey
1 garlic clove (optional)
2 large skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks
4 pitta breads
Favourite salad for the pitta breads (eg lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes)

Serves 4

Each serving = 1 portion of your 5-A-Day  

Method

  1. Combine the Hoi-Sin, ketchup, honey (and garlic) together in a mixing bowl and then add the chicken. Then leave to marinade for 10 minutes.
  2. Place the chicken pieces on a sheet of tin foil under the grill for approximately 10 minutes on a medium heat, turning once.
  3. Warm pitta breads under the grill, then slice open to form a pocket and fill with the salad and cooked chicken.

Top Tip

Serve immediately with a bowl of salad – this meal then will give you two portions of your 5-A-Day
