Cheese, Cabbage and Potato Bake
Ingredients
4 large potatoes
½ white shredded cabbage
2 large onions chopped
Pinch of pepper
1 oz sunflower margarine
100g (4oz) mature cheddar cheese grated
Serves 4
Each serving = ½ portion of your 5-A-Day
Method
- Cook the cabbage, onions and potatoes in a large pan together for 25 minutes or until softened then drain.
- Mash together with a little semi skimmed milk, margarine and pepper.
- When mixed together add half of the cheese to the potato mixture.
- Put the potatoes into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese cook in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes and then serve.
Top Tip
Serve this with a portion of peas or sweet corn and this meal will provide 2 portions of your 5-A-Day. |
